A superb quality pair of French Louis XV style ormolu and Rouge Griotte marble seven arm candelabras by Ferdinand Barbedienne. Each is raised by a square Rouge Griotte marble base above scrolled ormolu feet with acanthus leaf ormolu mounts. Each vase-shaped body surmounted by scrolling handles and issuing conforming scrolling acanthus-clasped branches.

Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810–1892). Barbadienne was a French metalworker and manufacturer, who was well known as a bronze founder. Between 1850 and 1854 his firm, Barbedienne, provided furnishings in the Renaissance Revival style for the Hôtel de Ville, Paris. They received numerous medals at the International Exhibitions, including medals in three different classes at the International Exhibition of 1862 in London.
